About the event
This session presents a method used at LIGNES DE FUITE to build projects that operate beyond the present.
It focuses on how speculative design can be applied in practice — not as theory, but as a way to construct a clear position and carry it through clothing, image, and narrative.
The session includes a detailed case study around early work by Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran (Matières Fécales), examining how a constructed narrative was fully developed and pushed into reality.
Through this, the session will break down:
– how a position is defined and sustained
– how abstract ideas are translated into concrete design decisions
