ANTOINE DUFRESNE

Antoine Dufresne (b. 1993, Shefford, Qc) lives and works in Montreal. Dufresne’s approach to the body - and his pursuit of creative expression - is one of contradiction, harmony and perpetual ambiguity, criss-crossing genders and references in a pursuit of authenticity. Introduced at a young age to various subcultures and the art world, his work is influenced by his own journey and refers to a strong desire for individuality. From his unique point of view on beauty, the work is liberated from established ways of making. In its place is a representation of what contemporary fashion means and feels like.
